Treatment steps and process
A Dermaplaning Glow Facial begins with a thorough double cleanse to remove makeup, sunscreen, and surface oils. The professional dermaplaning step follows, performed after the skin is clean and evaluated. The goal is to gently remove dead surface skin cells and fine vellus hair to create a smoother canvas for the following steps.
After dermaplaning we apply a customized treatment mask chosen for your skin’s immediate needs, followed by targeted serums that penetrate more evenly when applied to freshly exfoliated skin. The service finishes with a nourishing moisturizer and SPF so your skin leaves the studio soft, hydrated, and protected against Fort Lauderdale’s sunny, humid climate.
What shapes visible results
Removing dead skin and vellus hair improves surface texture and can make pigments and skincare products appear more even. Because dermaplaning clears the outermost layer, topical serums used during the facial absorb more uniformly. Clients commonly notice a smoother feel and enhanced radiance without introducing new procedures beyond the facial sequence.
Immediate changes are typically cosmetic: skin looks brighter and feels softer right away. Results depend on individual skin condition, ongoing home care, and avoidance of recent aggressive exfoliation. We tailor each mask and serum to your skin type and seasonal needs like humidity or sun exposure common in Fort Lauderdale.
Safety, reactions, and suitability
Dermaplaning is not appropriate for all skin. We postpone or decline treatment for active inflammatory acne, open lesions, sunburn, active infections, compromised skin barriers, or certain inflammatory conditions. Recent chemical peels, laser procedures, waxing, and use of prescription retinoids or other strong exfoliants may also require postponement until the skin has recovered.
Some clients experience a temporary histamine-mediated response: short-lived redness, warmth, itching, mild swelling, or small raised bumps after mechanical stimulation. These reactions usually settle within hours but can last longer in reactive skin. Disclose any history of significant reactions or highly reactive skin during your consultation so we can determine suitability and adjust treatment plans.
