Contraindications & Skin Sensitivity: Dermaplaning may not be suitable for clients with active inflammatory acne, open lesions, sunburn, active skin infections, compromised skin barriers, or certain inflammatory skin conditions. Recent chemical peels, laser treatments, waxing, and the use of prescription retinoids or exfoliating products may require postponing treatment. Skin suitability will be assessed before proceeding.
Possible Histamine Reaction: Mechanical exfoliation may trigger a temporary skin response, including redness, warmth, itching, mild swelling, or small raised bumps. These symptoms may be consistent with histamine release and are more likely in reactive or sensitive skin. Reactions vary and may resolve within a few hours. Persistent, worsening, or severe symptoms are not considered a routine response and may require medical evaluation.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" (you are not being physically touched) and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
One of the basic teachings of healing with Reiki is that we are more than our physical bodies.
