How Facial Peels Work in Fort Lauderdale: Types, Downtime & Costs
By C.Skin.Care Aesthetics | November 2, 2026
One of the most consistent things I hear is that lash lift and tint results look beautiful and last a long time, and that same "I want it to last" mindset is exactly why we plan facial peels carefully. Facial peels range from gentle enzymatic or glycolic treatments to medium and deeper chemical peels, and they can help with texture, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, and sun damage. Here in Fort Lauderdale, timing matters because the sun is intense year-round and beach and boating days are part of real life. I’ll walk you through peel types, downtime, what they cost around town, and how I help you choose the right option in my Harbordale studio near the 17th Street Causeway and Harbor Shops.
Quick clarity: Not every peel makes you visibly peel. Some give you glow with little to no flaking, and some create real shedding for deeper correction.
Why "facial and dermaplaning" searches often turn into a peel plan
Most people land on peels because they want change they can actually see. It’s usually one of these: brown spots that popped up after beach weekends, uneven tone that won’t budge with home products, stubborn breakouts with clogged pores, or rough texture that makeup can’t smooth over.
Peels are also a smart choice when you want results with a predictable schedule. In Fort Lauderdale, that often means planning around outdoor time, travel, weddings, and holiday photos. I’ll talk with you about your skin tone, your history with irritation or melasma, and how much downtime you can realistically do. Then we pick the strength that makes sense, not the strongest one on the menu.
And if you came here because you’re comparing facial and dermaplaning, you’re in the right place. Dermaplaning can be a great add-on for instant smoothness, but peels are what we use for deeper correction like pigment and acne marks.
10 peel options I use at C.Skin.Care Aesthetics (and who they’re best for)
Here’s the straight talk version of our peel lineup. A few are reserved for established clients only because I want to see how your skin behaves first, and I want your home care solid before we step up strength.
Clear Peel
This is one of my favorite first-time peel choices. It’s a superficial skin peel treatment that focuses on acne and inflammation, using green tea for calming support alongside salicylic acid to help clear congestion.
Best for: first peel, active breakouts, sensitive or reactive acne-prone skin.
Peptide Perfection Peel ("Red Carpet Peel")
This is my go-to when you want glow but you don’t want visible peeling. It’s a "no downtime" face peel that supports protein turnover and helps with dullness, congestion, and that tired look that shows up fast in our humidity and sun.
Best for: events, photos, first peel nerves, glow with a busy schedule.
Oxygen Regenerating Peel
A super friendly first-timer peel that brightens quickly. It includes 5% lactic acid plus oxygenating support, so skin tends to look more awake right away without the classic flaky week.
Best for: dull, tired-looking skin and instant glow with minimal fuss.
BioRePeel
This is a TCA peel from Italy that’s known for no to minimal downtime. It’s designed to improve texture, brighten, and help with acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, age spots, melasma, and fine lines, without the heavy shedding people fear with a traditional chemical face peel.
Best for: year-round treatment in sunny Fort Lauderdale and anyone who wants correction with minimal peeling.
New RDS Stem Cell Peel (Renew Dermal Peel)
Renew combines TCA, hydrogen peroxide, kojic acid, peptides, and stem cells. The goal is exfoliation and brightening without excessive peeling. It’s one of the options I reach for when you want stronger results but you still need manageable recovery.
Best for: fine lines, enlarged pores, sun damage, and pigmentation when you can’t disappear for a week.
LaZer Peel
This is a superficial to medium-depth peel (pH 1.7) with a mix of acids, including glycolic, lactic, salicylic, tranexamic acid, and more. I control the depth by timing. It’s a strong choice for stubborn hyperpigmentation, including melasma, and it does best as a series.
Best for: melasma-prone or pigment-prone skin that needs a structured plan, not a one-and-done.
MelaPro Peel
This oil-based cold peel targets pigment underneath the surface, focusing on excess melanin production with 10% 4-Butylresorcinol (Rucinol) plus glutathione and barrier-supporting ingredients. It’s designed to brighten without the irritation and visible peeling that some people can’t tolerate.
Best for: melasma, post-acne marks, sun damage, and deeper skin tones that need a pigment-smart approach.
Jessner Peel (Current Clients Only)
Jessner is a classic chemical face peel that combines salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol to target acne, clogged pores, uneven tone, and rough texture. Because it can come with redness and visible peeling, I only do this after I’ve assessed your skin and your home routine.
Best for: congestion, post-acne marks, and texture once we’ve built a foundation.
5-Berry Peel (Current Clients Only)
This pigment-control option combines 7% TCA with antioxidant support from five berries. It’s designed for photo-aging, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and acne. It’s currently available for established clients only because I want your skin assessed first and your prep handled correctly.
Best for: photo-aging and pigment concerns when you’re already on a consistent routine with me.
Pigment Lift 15% TCA Peel (Current Clients Only)
This is a stronger 15% TCA peel paired with tyrosinase inhibitors and antioxidant support. It’s one we work up to. If you’re new to peels or your barrier needs love, we start gentler and earn our way here.
Best for: stubborn pigment and aging concerns after proper prep and a proven track record with your skin.
Note: If you’re brand new and eyeing one of the "current clients only" peels, we’ll start with a skin assessment and a first visit facial plan, then step you up safely.
The results people actually notice after a peel (and why prep matters)
The most common pattern I see is immediate "feel" results first, then visible results as the days go by. People often tell me their skin feels hydrated and rejuvenated after a facial and peel-focused visit, and that they felt comfortable and taken care of the entire time. A lot of Fort Lauderdale skin is dealing with dehydration on top of sun exposure, so restoring water and barrier support matters as much as exfoliation.
Glow is the other big one. I’ve had clients leave after oxygen-focused facials and peel work saying their skin is glowing, and clients who came in for a "much needed peel" tell me it made a huge difference in how their skin looks and feels. When we’re doing more advanced combinations, people notice changes fast. One client described immediate results after a deep cleanse, Hydrofacial, Jet Plasma, and a FactorFive RDS peel, with skin looking smoother, brighter, tighter, and pores looking smaller.
"My skin is smoother, brighter, and tighter, and my pores look way smaller."
Review excerpt
Here’s what makes the difference: prep and aftercare. If you keep using strong retinoids or exfoliating acids right up to a peel, or you treat SPF like an optional step afterward, you’re more likely to get irritation and uneven results. I’d rather slow down, get your skin calm, then peel at the right time and get a cleaner outcome.
Downtime in real life: superficial vs medium chemical peels in sunny Fort Lauderdale
Downtime is the deciding factor for most people. A superficial peel (think gentle acids and many glow-style peels) tends to come with mild dryness, a little tightness, and sometimes light flaking. You can usually keep living your life, as long as you’re serious about sunscreen.
Medium-depth peels, including stronger TCA-based options, can be a different story. Expect redness and a few days where your skin looks dry and feels tight. Visible peeling often shows up around days 2 to 4, and many people look more presentable again by about a week. That’s why I ask about your calendar before we pick your peel strength.
Fort Lauderdale tip: If boating or beach time is coming up, plan your peel so you can avoid direct sun during the most reactive days. UV plus fresh exfoliation is where pigment problems can start.
What happens when you come in for a skin peel treatment with me in Harbordale
When you sit down, the first thing I do is look at your skin up close and ask what’s actually bothering you. Is it pigment around the cheeks, clogged pores, texture, or that "my skin looks tired" vibe? I’ll also ask what you’re using at home, especially retinoids, acids, and any acne prescriptions, because that changes what we can safely do.
Then we cleanse and prep so the peel applies evenly. If we’re doing a peel that’s designed to stay comfortable, you’ll usually just feel warmth or tingling. If you’re prone to redness, I pay attention to that in real time. After the peel step, I finish with calming products, and when it fits your plan I’ll use LED light therapy, like we do with BioRePeel.
Before you leave, we go over aftercare in plain language. You’ll know exactly what to pause, what to use, and when it’s safe to return to your regular routine.
Why people drive in from Dania Beach, Hollywood, and Davie for peel planning
I’ve been doing this work in Fort Lauderdale for 3 years, and my focus is simple: real skin results without rushing your barrier. People come to me for facials and peels, and they stay because I’m detailed and I explain what I’m doing as I go. One reviewer put it perfectly when they said I "didn’t load" them down with a bunch of products, just what made sense.
My studio is in Harbordale, right by the 17th Street Causeway and Harbor Shops area, so it’s easy to swing by for a consult or follow-up if you’re local. I keep it calm and spotless because skin work goes better when you’re not tense.
If you’re deciding between a peel and a facial: Send me what you’re trying to fix (pigment, acne marks, texture), and tell me if you have boating days or big events coming up. I’ll point you to the peel level that matches your schedule and your skin.
